Obituary of Daniel Ernest Gray

Gray, Daniel It is with heartbroken sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, son, father and friend Dan Gray at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg Tuesday August 23, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 54. He maintained a positive attitude and never gave up giving us hope as he continued to see something good in each and every day. Cherished husband and best friend of Edith (Brown). Adored and devoted son of Betty (Moe) and the late Kenneth Gray. Dear and proud father of Hailey (Brett), Aimee (Wolfe), Chad (Jenna) and Mathieu. Brother of Rob. He provided cherished memories as "Grandpa Dan" for grandchildren Ben, Audrey and Evan and his constant companions Rosie, Rudy and Riggs. A special thanks to his devoted friends who stood by him daily during his battle and provided continuous support and encouragement and assistance to Dan. There can never be enough thanks for our angel in scrubs VON "Tanya" who above and beyond was consistently there for both Dan and I in this difficult journey. Who showed immense compassion, understanding and guidance and consoled us morning, evening and night. May God Bless You! An avid hunter and fisherman he will be forever missed but never forgotten by the yearly Press Lake Camp Moose Hunting gang. He loved life and had so much more to do. Friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope Monday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. If desired, memorial contributions may be made by cheque to the charity of one's choice. www.allisonfuneralhome.com "If there ever comes a day When we can't be Together Keep me in your heart.
