Obituary of Luella Martha Lloyd

LLOYD, Luella Martha, 91 formerly of Bowmanville, ON and Holmesville, NB passed away peacefully at the Extendicare Nursing Home in Port Hope on Monday, November 7, 2016. Predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Jasper (Jack) Stephen Lloyd in 1994, her daughter Joyce in 1977, and son Brian 2012. She was also predeceased by her parents, Harry Broad in 1992 and Hazel Acton in 1926 and sister Glenna in 2008. Luella is the granddaughter of William Broad and Martha Holmes. Luella is survived by her 6 children - 3 daughters Joann and her husband Michael Merritt of Sydney Forks, NS, Rosemary and her husband Neilson Timmerman of Beechwood, and Linda of Napanee, ON; 3 sons - Roland and his wife Brenda of Beechwood, NB, Terry and his wife Colleen of Mineral, NB and Pembroke, ON, and Richard and his wife Karen of Grand Manan, NB. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Luella was the last surviving member of her immediate family and of Jack's 13 siblings and their spouses. Service to be held for Luella at the Freewill Baptist Church in Holmesville, NB on Monday, November 21st at 2:30 pm with visitation at the church from 1 to 2:30. Officiating Clergy Reverend Toben Steeves. Interment at the Mineral Cemetery with luncheon to follow at the Church. Condolences may be forwarded to the family online thru Allison Funeral Home, Port Hope, ON www.allisonfuneralhome.com. If desired, floral tributes may be delivered to the Freewill Baptist Church in Holmesville the morning of November 21st. Or donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charitable organization of the donor's choice would also be appreciated by the family.
