I was saddened to see the message of Mary's passing.
We were friends as little girls and then in high school. The years have not been easy for her, but she had handled them well. I spoke to her often on her outings about town, and I shall miss her wonderful smile. God Bless you my friend.

I am a cashier at Independent grocer. I would often serve Mary when she came through. She was always friendly, polite and kind. I enjoyed speaking with her and seeing her in the store. My condolences to you, she was a lovely person

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Mary, I met her a few years back when she was crossing guard for the kids. She struck up conversation with my mom and I. Such a happy soul all the time, she had a smile and greeting for everyone she passed. She never let her disability get her down, numerous times when she was still walking I offered to give her a ride, she generously thanked me but always declined, saying she was fine and could manage. She never knew our names but she always recognized us when our paths crossed and struck up conversation, always caring how we were doing. Never did I hear her complain. Heaven has gained a true angel, port hope has lost one. RIP sweet Mary

I'm really sorry to learn you have lost your Mom. She was a dear dear friend to everyone. Always so thoughtful~~and~~so very brave, never complaining. She thought the world of you girls. Her face always 'lit up' whenever she was talking about you. You gave her an important reason to face each new day~~and~~she never gave up, in spite of the suffering she endured. You will miss her terribly. Just try to focus on those many beautiful memories you have tucked away, deep in a corner of your heart. Remember the good times you had with your Mom~~they are priceless!
