Regan, Michael Joseph December 3, 1930 - December 28, 2015 Passed away at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg. Loving husband of Rose Regan for 61 years. Born in Frankford, Ontario. Son of John Joseph Regan and Mary Catherine Barry, both deceased. Pre-deceased by his siblings Patricia Fitzimmons and Edward Regan (his late wife Dorothy). Joe joined Royal Bank of Canada at Belleville, Ontario and commenced a very successful career that lasted over forty years and took him to several locations in Ontario as well as to Charlottetown, P.E.I. from there, Joe commenced R.B.C. International assignments including the Caribbean, New York City, San Francisco and London, England. While stationed in England, he held the position of General Manager of U.K., Ireland, and the Nordic Countries. Upon his return to Canada, he held a variety of Senior Executive positions with R.B.C., in Montreal and Toronto, retiring in 1990 as Senior Executive Vice President. After this lengthy career, he was appointed by The Ontario Government as Chairman of The Ontario Pension Commission where he served for approximately four years. Joe served as a Director on a variety of Boards, some associated with R.B.C., and others including National Sea in Nova Scotia, Ontario Pension Board, C.P.P. Investment Board and Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi-Canada. Lovingly remembered brother-in-law of Douglas Fitzimmons and Clarence (Edmund) Finnegan (Dawn) and by several nephews and nieces their families and other relatives in Canada and United States. Friends may call at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 155 Walton Street, Port Hope, Saturday, January 2nd from 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am.
