Clarence (Klaas) Jan Haalstra Obituary

Clarence Haalstra passed away at Regency Long Term Care Home, Port Hope, Wednesday February 5th, 2025. Born in Lutjegast, the Netherlands in 1933, Clarence immigrated to Canada, and married the love of his life, the late Jenny Halstraa (nee Drost) on June 15th, 1956.


Beloved father of Michael Haalstra (Sharon), Jeanette Symons (Ed), and the late Wilma Haalstra and her husband Brad Gauvreau. Cherished Opa and Great Opa to Linsey Tuttle (Ian) and their children Ben and Ellie; Haley Cole (Jonathan) and their children Rowan, Amy, and Eli; Katie Haalstra; Kelsey Goode (David) and their children Quinn, Oliver, and Lucas; Laura Haalstra; Olivia Bainbridge (Corey) and their children Paisley and Bo; and Zach Symons (Andrea) and their children Madelyn, Norah, and Hayden. He is predeceased by his nine dear brothers and sisters.


A private funeral service will be held at Allison Funeral Home in Port Hope, on Monday, February 10th.
