Wiliam Cairns passed away peacefully at home in Colborne, surrounded by family, on March 17th, 2025, in his 82nd year. Loving husband of Margaret Cairns, and beloved father of William Cairns (Lori), Andrew Cairns (Kelly), and the late Stephen Cairns (Cindy). Cherished grandfather to nine grandchildren. Dear brother to Bert, Frances, Bertha, David and the late James.

William came to Canada from Northern Ireland on December 28th, 1973. He had a lifelong passion for pipe bands, gardening, and motorbike racing. He will also be missed by his beloved pets, Tilly and Lucy.

Friends and family are invited to visitation at Allison Funeral Home (103 Mill Street North, Port Hope) on Thursday, March 20th, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, as well as Friday, March 21st from 10am until time of service. A service for William (Bill) will be held on Friday, March 21st at 11am at Allison Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Port Hope Union Cemetery (114 Toronto Road, Port Hope).
