Ross Fraser passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Thursday, March 27th, 2025, in his 86th year. Loving husband of the late Loretta Fraser, and beloved father of Stephen Fraser, Paula Whitney (Dean) (the late Paul Whitney), and Donald Fraser (Krista). Caring grandfather of Heather Fraser (Sean), Ian Fraser (Lindsay), Brendan Whitney (Sabrina), Jenna Whitney, Gregory Whitney (Masha), and Clara Fraser. Proud great-grandfather of Hazel. Dear brother to siblings Shirley (George Manos), Heather (Gary Collens), and James Fraser (Linda), and the late Isabel McKenna (Owen), Marjorie Tetz (Jim), and Barbara McKenna (Michael).

Ross was an active member of his community, serving for many years with the Knights of Columbus and volunteering in Markham with young people and the elderly. A dedicated youth soccer and hockey coach, he was also a founding director of the Markham Men's Recreational Hockey League, now with over two hundred members, and played a key role helping establish the Markham Men's Slo-Pitch League (originally

the Markham Men's Fun League).

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 1st, from 7–9 p.m. at Allison Funeral Home (103 Mill Street North, Port Hope). A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, April 2nd, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church (155 Walton Street, Port Hope), followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery (130 Toronto Road, Port Hope). A reception will then take place at the Masonic Lodge (54 Toronto Road, Port Hope).

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Green Wood Coalition in Port Hope, a community organization dedicated to fostering inclusion and supporting individuals facing poverty, illness, and other challenges ( www.greenwoodcoalition.com ).
