Dr. Anne, Joy and Eve and family.
There will always be only one ‘Dr. Ray’ in our hearts and memories. Much love to you all for letting us share his wisdom, compassion and care for so many decades. Dr. Ray implemented a team care approach long before health teams were even an idea and was always open to new and innovative health care, even controversial but beneficial to patient wellness.
Guiding our family through numerous tunnels of healthcare and health scares, we are eternally grateful.
There were few people we who arrived in the kitchen at Dragon Bridge and Ying’s to pick up their food, and Dr. Ray was one of those my parents always made time to stop and welcome, no matter how busy.
Dr. Ray will be greatly missed. We send our love and prayers to the family.
Russell Mark on behalf of the Mark clan.

Dr. Anne, Joy & Eve,
Dr. Ray was one of a kind. I will always look back fondly of my time working in the office for both of you. I was treated so well and always felt appreciated. Dr. Ray was very instrumental in my career as a medical secretary. At the Port Hope Hospital I dealt with him often when working on OR bookings and when I heard new docs were coming to town and I was ready for a change, I don’t think I would have gotten the position without his help. And then years later, he approached me about helping out in his office when he was in need of additional help. I was skeptical about going back to a doctor’s office, but decided to give it a try. No regrets and so happy I did. The Tesluk’s are one of a kind and the community will definitely miss Dr. Ray. I hope for peace for the girls left behind and that you will be lifted up by your precious memories. I have a picture of Dr. Ray playing the piano at a Port Hope Hospital Christmas party and my oldest son is sitting beside him on the piano bench. I will always treasure that picture and memory. We were very saddened to hear of the death of Dr. Ray Tesluk. Dr. Ray was a remarkable man and we remember him most in the roll of County Coroner he was the smartest man we ever knew. When our father died after his first heart attack at age 62 in the hospital, Dr. Ray came and visited the family at our parent’s apartment. The doctor offered his condolence a hug and explained what happened and why. He offered comfort in the time of need.
Throughout the decades we saw him time and again offer his sympathy and an explanation to the family members regarding the circumstances and the need for an examination if required. In what was possibly the worst day in a family’s life Dr. Ray was there to offer comfort and made them feel better.
His loss we regret, his memory we cherish, to Dr. Anne, Joy, Eve and all his family members we wish to express our most sincere sympathy.

The Thomas family was privileged to have Dr. Tesluk as a physician and friend from the early 70s until his retirement. He was adept at diagnosing medical issues and always made time on office visits to treat each one of us as individuals.
His medical career was certainly one to be celebrated in the Port Hope and wider community. We offer our condolences to Anne, Joy, and Eve along with their extended family.

Hi Anne. Eveline and I want to express our deepest condolences on Ray’s passing. I will miss his participation in our class reunion’s planning meetings every five years for the last three decades. These meetings were great reunions in themselves, made more enjoyable by Ray’s attendance and contributions. We couldn’t have had the same successful results without his ideas and expert IT knowledge and practice. And always with a smile and some laughter. We will miss him greatly.
Again, our condolences to you and family.

Ray had a way of turning even the most in-depth tech issue into something more than a task… it became a doorway to another story, another memory, another part of the life he’d so fully lived. I was lucky to be his go-to tech support service, trusted to figure out his very specific, often challenging needs. But the truth is, the tech was just the pretense. What I really cherished was the chance to sit with him, hear him play piano, and soak in the wisdom and humor that came with each tale from his remarkable life.
What began as tech support became a friendship I’ll carry with me always. I'm forever grateful to have known Ray and to have spent time with both him and Anne. Thank you, Ray, for letting me into your world.

Ray was not only my doctor, he was my friend and colleague. He was my doctor until he closed his practice, always conscientious, and a great diagnostician. But also, we worked together on several personal injury claims, when we developed a template medico-legal report. Most importantly, he had such an expansive intellect. As several others have said, a true renaissance man. And we always chuckled about having the same date of birth.

My deepest condolences to the family and close friends of Raymond Tesluk. He was truly one of a kind and was our family doctor for my life, until he retired. He was such a kind man and I truly missed him when he retired. I will never forgot seeing him for a doctor's visit after goin for an ultrasound, finding out I was having twins. I was so nervous and scared and he stopped mid sentence and asked me what my shoe size was...I told him I was a size 10.5-11 and he smiled and said "Oh you're not goin to have any troubles at all carrying them full term", I to this day wish I had asked him why he thought that, because he was 100% right, I carried them full term and they were both healthy, perfect full sized babies when born. He was an amazing man and this world was lucky to have him in it. He will be truly missed.

Some wonderful stories he shared. We both have fond memories in our careers with him over the years at the Port Hope hospital & as a coroner. He will be missed by many.

Dr. Anne & Family-
So very sorry for the loss of Dr. Ray.
He was my Doctor as well as our children’s. He really was a wonderful Doctor. I’ve often thought of him after we moved from Port Hope. I have many fond memories of him, one being he came to visit me the evening after the birth of our 2nd child earlier that day. He stayed over an hour, talking like we were old friends & told me stories of some of his previous patients before coming to practice in Port Hope. Of course names were never mentioned. One story has always stuck with me-he delivered a woman’s 18th child!!! The thought of that woman after delivering a baby earlier that day just stunned me.
I will never forget his kindness all those years ago.
May all your wonderful memories of Dr. Ray help each of you in the days ahead.
May he rest in peace.
