Donald George Brumby Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald George Brumby in Port Hope, on Tuesday, July 1st, 2025, in his 88th year. Loving husband of Sarah Sue, and beloved father of Ken (Diane) and Keith (Liz) Brumby.

Donald lived his life with no regrets. A lover of music, he played trumpet and was a member of many bands over the years, including the Markham Concert Band, Barrie Skyliners Swing Band, and Newmarket Citizens Band. While his vocation was developing land, his avocations were what he lived for; he was a skilled woodworker, musician, and hobbyist pilot. He also travelled the world sharing memories and stories from places far and wide.

Donald will be remembered for his sense of humour, and for his great care for his family, keeping in touch with everyone and always being sure to call.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Aspira Empire Crossing Retirement Living for the care and comfort they've provided Donald.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parkinson Canada, helping others better live with this challenging condition.
