Iris Ronan Gravener was born on January 12, 1945 in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, and moved to Canada in 1977. She passed away peacefully in Port Hope, Ontario, on Thursday, August 14, 2025, in her 81st year.

Loving mother of Francine Gravener, Dawn Crossey (John), Yvonne Shand, Craig Shand (Karen), and Beverley Gravener. Cherished grandmother to Derrick Crossey and Lauren Grainger, and proud great-grandmother to Charlotte, Blake and Oakley. Iris will be deeply missed by her sister June (Noel McElroy), and her nephews Ian and David McElroy. She was predeceased by her sister Peggy Innes 

Iris dedicated more than thirty years of her life to Dalewood Golf and Curling Club, where she built lasting friendships and touched the lives of many. She will be fondly remembered for her love of people, her sharp wit, and her wonderful sense of humour.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Extendicare Port Hope Nursing Home for the kindness and care shown to Iris over the past several years.
