It is with infinite sadness that we announce the passing of Hugh Wilson at his home in Port Hope, early Friday morning, Sept. 5.

Hugh was born in York, England. The family moved to London, England and he grew up there. Hugh decided to settle in Canada at the age of 25 after coming to Toronto on a work assignment.

Hugh is the loving husband of Emoke, of 36 years, 3 months, father to son Michael (Kerry), stepson Blair (Sarah, and their daughter, Marlowe). He is the brother to Sally and Karen in England, and brother-in-law to Zsolt in Canada. He is predeceased by stepson Andrew, father Riby, mother Bessie, father-in-law Leslie, and mother-in-law Mary.

Hugh spent his professional career as a Computer Software Specialist, eventually opening his own successful business after travelling around Europe and Canada as a consultant. He was a member of the Tranzac Club in Toronto, enjoyed playing Rugby and Cricket, and frequently lent his acting skills to the Nags Acting Group. Throughout their life together, you’d often find Hugh on the road with his wife, Emoke, enjoying trips and experiencing fine-dining across their travels.

Hugh will be missed tremendously. Following cremation, a future Celebration of Life will take place.
