In Loving Memory of Cornelious Imhoff

December 22, 1949 – October 4th, 2025

It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the peaceful passing of Neil, a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and cherished grandfather, who left us surrounded by family on October 4th, 2025, in his 75th year.

Born into a large family in Bathurst, New Brunswick, Neil was a hardworking man whose dedication shaped both his career and personal life. He retired after many years of service with the railway and ran a successful appliance business. Neil’s generous spirit and boundless love could fill any room. He adored his grandchildren and never missed a chance to spoil them with his generosity and affection.

A passionate hockey fan, Neil’s love for the Montreal Canadiens was shared with his family, who cheered alongside him through every season. He was also an avid golfer and found joy in the friendships he built with former co-workers and the welcoming neighbours he met after moving to Port Hope, Ontario.

Neil is survived by his beloved wife Doris, with whom he shared 57 beautiful years of marriage. He was a proud father to Amanda (Jeff), April (Scott), and Garnet (Jamie), and a devoted grandfather to 11 grandchildren: Alexandria, Jarret, Dylan, Paige, Cate, Mackenzie, Abigail, Jake, Kali, Delilah, and Desiree.

He is also survived by his sister Evangeline and is now reunited in heaven with his nine other siblings, his parents, and his son-in-law William.

Neil’s legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
