Ronald Kenneth Rowden passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, October 12th, 2025 in his 82nd year. 

Predeceased by his loving wife Barbara, Ron was the cherished father of Donald (Gail) Rowden and Chad (Lori) Rowden. Adoring grandfather of Jake, Ben, Olivia and Claire.

Ron loved hockey. In his younger years he played and coached his boys. Fast on his feet he was lovingly named “The Rocket”. In his later years Ron watched every Leaf game he could.

A hard-working man he certainly was and Ron spent his work life at Nicholson File until it closed its doors.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday October 23rd, 2025 at Rushnell Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be held Friday October 24th, 2025 at 11am, with family gathering at 10am.
