It is with heavy hearts, and a deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mom Kaaren Catherine Weaver. She was granted her greatest desire; to pass away in her home surrounded by her loving children. Mom is once again by the side of our beloved dad, Ken. During their 66 years together, she was a devoted wife, weathering all life’s storms with patience, enduring love and grace. As a mother, her unconditional love left an everlasting mark on the hearts of her children. Dan, Colleen, Brenda (Domenic), and Christine were blessed to be guided by her values—kindness, respect, and unwavering support. With a gentle hand when needed, she nurtured them with patience and understanding, teaching not only through words but through the example of her own life. Her love was a quiet strength, a constant presence, and a gift that will continue to shape their lives and the generations to come.
A caring, loving, and generous grandmother, she brought joy and comfort into every room she entered. To Adam, Amanda, Shaun, Seth, Carter, and Taylor, she was not only a grandmother but a guiding light—always proud of each of them for who they were and the unique paths they chose. Her heart overflowed with kindness, and her presence was a reminder of unconditional love. She celebrated their accomplishments, cherished their individuality, and found happiness in simply being part of their lives. Her legacy lives on in the laughter she inspired and the love she gave so freely. As a great grandmother, Westley and Atlas brought a new sparkle to her eye and a love only she knew.
Mom made every occasion special, and filled our homes with love, laughter and a safe place we could always return to no matter our age; home was wherever she was.
She will remain deeply treasured by Jane and George Waller—friends who became family and stood beside her through every joy and sorrow. With them, she shared a rare closeness, a lifetime of memories, and a love few are blessed to know.
Rest in peace, Mom. Your memory will continue to fill the hearts of those who knew you with love and strength.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that a donation be made to the Northumberland Hills Hospital for the extraordinary care Kaaren always received.
