LEES, Jeff

Jeff of Port Hope, Ontario, passed away on January 4, 2026, at the age of 61.

Jeff was the beloved husband of Laurie Lees (Stacey) and a devoted father to his son, Garnet Lees, and daughter-in-law, Maddie Lees. Jeff was a loving nephew to his Uncle, Bob Lee, and his Aunt, Mary Lee. He was predeceased by his parents, Irene Lees and Bob Lees. He will also be deeply missed by his parents-in-law, Frank and Sharron Stacey; his siblings-in-law Michelle Malda (John Malda), Wendy Stacey (Brian Downey), and Gregg Stacey; and his Little Brother Matthew Dickison (Michelle).

Born on April 18, 1964, in Peterborough, Ontario, Jeff was a proud longtime member of the Port Hope community, a town he deeply loved and to which he dedicated much of his adult life. He served the community with great pride as a member of Port Hope Council for 25 years, during which time he held the roles of Deputy Mayor and Councilor.  Jeff was also an active community volunteer, having been a member of the Port Hope Kinsmen Club, a Big Brother with the Big Brothers organization, and, more recently, a member of the Port Hope Lions Club.

Known for his sharp sarcasm, kind heart, and unwavering willingness to help others, Jeff left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He was a passionate Boston Bruins fan, a lifelong lover of AC/DC, and a proud supporter of the town of Port Hope. Above all, Jeff loved his family most. He also held a very special place in his heart for his beloved cat, Bobby Orr Lees.

Jeff’s presence, humor, and loyalty will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday January 17, 2026 at Rushnell Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope from 12-2pm.  Memorial Service to follow at 2pm.
