Helen passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026 at the age of 94.
She was predeceased by her husband Frank, her parents Eliza Ada and Arthur St. John, her sisters Violet, Margie, Molly, May, and Ruthie, and her brother Vernon. She will be dearly missed by her children Pamela, Mark (Renée), Julie (Ernie), Lisa (Jim), and Nicole (Howie). She was a cherished grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Mom loved to read, knit and was an avid baseball fan. She loved all animals especially cats. The autumn was her favourite time of year, she loved walking through the leaves.
Mom was gentle and graceful and she had a quiet confidence. Her gentle nature and warmth made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. She was dearly loved by her many friends.
She loved life and found joy in everyday. Mom could light up a room with her laughter and could turn the most ordinary moments into cherished memories. It is hard to imagine life without her. She was the heart of our family. We loved her Big Time!
In keeping with Helen's wishes there will be no funeral. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Donations can be made to the Northumberland Humane Society.
