Janis Rose Corey Obituary
Survived by husband Rick, children Tyler, Jenna and Jordan. Mother Bonnie (Formosa), mother in law Charlotte (Corey). Brothers in law John (Ingrid), Stephen (Lorraine). Sisters Jodi (Bill Drummond) and Kristy (David Hampel). Many nephews and nieces.
Janis grew up in Port Hope and made many friends here. She seemed to know everyone in the town and in the county! She graduated from Port Hope high school and then graduated from Sir Sanford Fleming College in Peterborough.
She spent the past 35 years working at the CIBC branch in Port Hope as the Head CSR. She enjoyed the people she worked with and especially enjoyed taking care of the many people that came in throughout each week. Now that she’s gone the “Bank of Janis” will never be the same.
Janis loved her family and friends. She loved music, dancing, decorating, art, history, travelling, shopping, was an avid reader, and an enjoyed good glass of dry red wine.
She had travelled to many places in Europe, Mexico, and the Caribbean. She loved to cook often looking up new recipes and having family and friends over for dinner.
As Tyler, Jenna and Jordan were growing up she was always supportive of them and especially proud of their many accomplishments. She was loving, caring, sharing, and giving. She was our rock, our strength, our force, our guiding light.
She will be truly missed. Always loved. Never forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Canadian Cancer Society.
