Clara Yvonne Briden (nee Crisall) passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, just one week after celebrating her 98th birthday. Yvonne was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 63 years, Bob, in 2015. In recent years, Yvonne was grateful to share love and companionship with Gordon Hewson.

At the heart of Yvonne’s life was her family. Yvonne was a wonderful and loving mother of Robert Briden (Janice), Larry Briden (whose beloved wife, Joanne, passed earlier this month) and Linda Laliberte (David). She was a loving grandmother (Nana) to her grandchildren Robert (Kerri), Matthew (Tara), Laura (Mark), Christopher (Lyly), Melissa (Matthew), and Nicholas (Katelyn) as well as her great grandchildren: Holt, Leila, Jada, Amy, Seth, Claira Mae, Caleb, Benjamin, Jacob, Peyton, Holly, Everett, Emory and Ellis.

Yvonne and Bob built their life and raised their family in Port Hope. They moved to Brighton for their retirement years where Yvonne was honored by the Rotary Club of Brighton being named a Paul Harris Fellow. In later years, they made their home in Cobourg,
