MONTGOMERY, Eilish

Peacefully on Monday May 4th, 2026 at Northumberland Hills Hospital at the age of 79.  Loving wife of Clive for 57 years.  Beloved mother of Jackie, Lesley (Mark) Ferth and Tony.  Cherished grandmother of Rowan Montgomery and Jack Campbell.  Dear sister of Eamon Smyth and Thomas (Carol) Smyth and sister-in-law of Thelma.  Predeceased by her siblings Bridie Blair (Wesley), Agnes McCartan (Bertie), Phyllis Robinson (Bertie), Jackie Smyth and brother-in-law Trevor (Iris) Montgomery.  She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews Harry Blair, Micheal, Pamela McCartan, Darryl, Julie, Jennifer, Catherine, Susan and Robert Robinson. Liam, Dominic, Beth Smyth.

Eilish was an avid reader with a deep love for books and stories, always finding comfort and joy within their pages. She enjoyed listening to music of all kinds, often filling her days with songs that matched her spirit and brought people together. Above all else, Eilish treasured time spent with her family, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and warmth that meant the world to her.

Family and friends will be received on Friday May 15th, 2026 at Rushnell Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope from 12-1pm.  Funeral Service to follow at 1pm.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
