Edna Elizabeth Greer, aged 82 years, passed away peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg, Ontario, on May 7th, 2026. She was born on January 25th, 1944 in Port Hope, to Albert Walsh and Elizabeth Keys. She was born in Port Hope, where she grew up, attended school, and raised her family. She loved to bake, craft, and play cards and games. Her favourite thing in life was spending time with her grandchildren. She was a daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and close friends.

Survived by her children Henry Greer (Kathy), Susan Greer (Rick), and Cindy Greer; grandchildren Matt (Jinean), Stephanie (Christopher), Jesse Wright (Callum), and Anthony Barr (Jessie); great-grandchildren Payton, Saydi, Sydney, and Evelyn; and siblings Catherine Sanders (Rick) and Bernard Walsh (Linda).

As well as many nieces and nephews, especially Dawn Dinesen (Steven), Kelly Sanders (Shane); and her dear friend Shirley West.

Predeceased by her life partner Harold Parnell, her parents Albert Walsh and Elizabeth Keys, and siblings Bob Walsh (Elaine), Charlie Walsh (Elsie), Carllus Walsh (Jackie), David Walsh (Fumi), Harold Walsh (Jean), Ronnie Walsh (Linda), Cyril Walsh (Linda), Henry Walsh (Jenny), and Nancy Walsh (Roger).

A family service for Edna will be held on July 25th, 2026; at Welcome Church Cemetery at 1pm. A Celebration of Life will follow from 2:30 – 5pm, at 154 Killdeer Crescent, Cobourg, Ontario.
