Paul Alexander Wilson passed away peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital on Monday May 4th, 2026 at the age of 86. Loving husband and best friend of the late (Ruth) Kay Wilson (nee Kilgannon). Beloved father of Stephen Wilson and Theresa Kirck (Bernie). Devoted grandfather of Jarrett (Samantha), Jasmine and Bella who are blessed to have so many fond memories of Poppa and Grandma. Dear brother of Mary Ellen (Len), Susan (Rick) and Jeannie (Steve). Predeceased by his brother Jimmy (Marg). He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Paul was born in Toronto and met Kay in 1957 when he responded to an ad in the newspaper for an accounting position. In 1972 they relocated to the Octagon house in Port Hope – their second and forever home. Four generations of family and 55 years of celebrations with family and friends - so many wonderful memories.

Paul was an accountant for over 60 years, an active member of the community, one of the founding members of the Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny race. Paul enjoyed sailing, restoring antique cars and Sunday drives with Kay.

Poppa, thank you for your love and support. We will forever remember your kindness and sense of humour.

We would like to thank the staff at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Port Hope Paramedics, Community Care, all of the PSWs from Nightingale and Bayshore and Roz and Brenda for helping to keep Paul and Kay at home for as long as possible.

A celebration of life will be held at 16 Martha Street, Port Hope on Saturday June 13th, 1pm-5pm. Please join us and share a story.
