BROMLEY, Lil

Peacefully, on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Extendicare Port Hope, at the age of 97, Lil passed away surrounded by love. Beloved wife of the late Gordon E.P. Bromley. Cherished mother of Kenneth (Pam), Patricia (Mike) McCann, Jacqueline (Dennis), and David (Shelley). She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In her early 40s, Lil returned to school and proudly graduated as a Registered Nursing Assistant. She dedicated herself to a career in healthcare, where her compassion and caring nature touched many lives until her retirement at the age of 65.

In retirement, Lil enjoyed nothing more than getting in her car and setting off on spontaneous road trips. Her family often wouldn’t know where she had gone until she would call and say with a smile, “Guess where I am?” She will be remembered for her loving heart, adventurous spirit, and kindness to everyone she met.

To all who knew and loved her, she was simply “Nanny.”

Family and friends will be received on Thursday May 28, 2026 at Rushnell Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope from 12-2pm.  Interment to follow at Port Hope Union Cemetery.
