To Barry, Bobby, Bonnie and Beverley, or as Merle used to sign her Christmas cards, the 4 B’s. I send you my condolences on the passing of your Mother . Merle is a lady I remember vividly from my youth when my sister, Kathy and I would spend summers at Port Britain Shores . One summer we spent several weeks with the Adamsons under Merle’s care . I remember her as an energetic, efficient but loving and caring dynamo . She was firm but you didn’t mind because she was fair and had a great sense of humour . I have nothing but fond memories of Merle , Jim and their lovely family .

Merle was always so welcoming and gracious. It didn't bother her if someone dropped in, they were invited to share a meal. And she remembered you by name. We didn't see her often, but she made us feel part of the family. A great cook and hostess and always energetic! She will live on in our memories.
