MEADOWS Gary

Peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family, on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, Gary passed away at the age of 82.

Beloved husband of Mary (née Beckett) for 64 wonderful years. Loving and devoted father of Chris (Karen), Brenda (Barry) Cutler, and Marilyn (Mike) Kripp. Cherished grandfather of Shayna, Tyler (Jen), Lauren (Jen), Jocelyn (Shawn), Rebecca, Jared, Jordan (Kate), and Devanne, and proud great-grandfather of nine. Predeceased by his parents Allan and Audrey Meadows.  Gary will also be dearly missed by his faithful canine companions, Dusty and Maggie.

Gary was a lifelong farmer whose strong work ethic, kindness, and generosity touched the lives of many. He was deeply involved in his church and community and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His friendly nature, quiet strength, and genuine care for others earned him many lasting friendships throughout his life.

Gary leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, faith, and family that will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends, and community.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday June 16, 2026 at Rushnell Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope from 2-5 pm.  A Memorial Service will take place Wednesday June 17, 2026 at New Hope United Church, 4651 County Rd 2, Port Hope at 1 pm.  Interment Welcome Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to New Hope United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
