Obituary of Friedrich Gotthilf Schellenberger

Schellenberger, Friedrich Gotthilf 'Fred' Passed away peacefully at Belleville General Hospital on Friday February 16, 2024. Fred Schellenberger was a loving father and husband who devoted his life to his family who was has now gone to the arms of his loving Saviour. Fred enjoyed life through his music as a pianist and loved to play hymns and classical music. Fred was the son of the late Karoline and Gustav Schellenberger of Heilbronn, Bockingen, Germay. Dearest husband of Golda Mitchell. Loving Popa of Jeffrey (Sheena Dibblee), Sonia and Monica. Survived by grandchildren Aaron Knott (Joycelyn Westlake), Eden McGlennon, Melissa and Sara Schellenberger, Angeline Schellenberger-Hottie and great grandchildren Trinity, Aria and Raylee Knott. Brother of Elisabeth (Adolph Siegele), Hildegard (Ralph Bostick) and the late Karl, Gustav and Waltraud Schellenberger, Margarete Siegele and Renate Luzier. Brother-in-law of Calvin Mitchell, Gwendolyn Kubenic, Duke Mitchell (Carol), Douglas Mitchell (Margaret) Dalton Mitchell (Ute) and the late Grace Hunt and Florence Evans. Friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope, Wednesday 6 to 8 pm and at Church on The Hill, 594 Courthouse Road West, Cobourg, Thursday 10 am until time of Funeral Service at 10:30 am. Interment, Port Hope Union Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made by cheque to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
