Dear Joe, I send along my sincere condolences to you and your family. It was an honour for me to have become a friend to you and Sandra. Sandra was a kind and caring person who had a gentle sense of humour. Her presence at St. Marks over many years was known in many ways from reading the lessons in a thoughtful way or organizing/helping with social activities in the parish hall. I was especially touched by the thoughtfulness and kind gestures afforded me by both of you when I moved away from Port Hope. I will always remember Sandra's warm welcome to me when I first came to St. Mark's Church and her lovely, clear, and heartfelt readings of Scripture during our services. Her strong faith was evident in every word.
