I think of Chris often. We worked together for many years. I recall his favorite time of year was the Port Hope Santa Parade. One year he actually called my home to pretend to be Santa to my son and my nephews. He was amazing! You must miss him dearly.

I am in shock. I sent Chris & Deb a Christmas card this year and it was just returned deceased, I thought...no cannot be, so I gogled their names....I can't believe it! I am so so sad and my condolences go out to the family. Jennifer I don't know if you remember us, but my maiden name was Davidson. My mom and dad were Gloria and Bill. I remember your mom and dad so fondly and of course Mary and I hung around with Chris as kids. I am so so sorry to hear of their passing and so young. Every year, as one condolence said, we exchanged Christmas cards, simply signed Deb & Chris, and I wondered why I hadn't received any in the last couple years, this is the first time one has been returned. I feel at a total loss, I cannot imagine how both Chris and Deb's family feel. Take care and although this comment is very late after the fact, I do hope you get to read it.

There’s a void in my Christmas this year... the annual early card from Port Hope. Long-time signed Chris and Deb and then just Chris. Never any news, just good tidings and signed with love. ‘Oh, come on you guys…’ I’d utter. This year a lesson for me in gratitude and thankfulness for just those few simple words and wishes from old friends.
Remembering them with love this Christmas…and wishing you all peace.
Christmas 2017.

My heart breaks for you Stefanie, Kyle and your young families. Your Dad left a wonderful and lasting impression on so many who were lucky to know him. Because of this and his loyal, kind heart, quick wit and endless laughter he will live on in each of you. He's no doubt leading the conga line dancing to Suffragette City with your beautiful Mom now. I met Chris & Deb when I was only 17. They remain forever in my heart as true friends who loved each other so much. Be strong knowing they are always with you in your heart.

Was shocked to see the posting on face book.... We are so sorry for your loss..He was so proud of his family and we know he missed your Mom...Now they can both ride along on the Santa Claus Sleigh... A time he really enjoyed and brought a lot of happiness to many.. He'd posted about missing her face in the crowd when he'd round the corner on Queen street.... they are together once again... Loosing a parent is hard... but you will always have great memories ..Keeping you in our prayers.... Iris and Bob Laneville
