It saddens me greatly to know that my Tio Alfonso has passed this week, and all I'm left with is memories of time spent with him. These memories are great, I loved spending time with Alfonso, he would always greet me with a huge smile that warmed my heart. When he would come to Texas for the summer, Andrea and I would spend hours coloring, playing around with Fonso at the pool, staying up late watching his favorite movies in Spanish, and even one time setting up a play for him. I remember that one distinctly because it really shows his sense of humor. Andrea and I had set up a whole mini-production for him with costumes and choreography and when we finished, we asked if he had liked the play and with one of his classic big smiles he said "No". I will miss Fonso, but I know that I now have another Guardian Angel watching over me.
