Passed away at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Thursday August 17, 2017. Joan beloved mother of Dwight Thompson (Amanda Storteboom), Gary, Marian, Royston (Christine) and Seon Thompson. Sister of Bud Roe (Lil) and the late Diane Somers.  She was a friend to many including Deb Whittaker, Leigh Jiggins, Tid (Latchman) Narine, Wilma Lepage and the late Karen Saunders.  As she was a nurse for 46 years the family has established a scholarship fund in her name to support current and future university students entering the nursing profession.
