Born in Vancouver, BC on February 8, 1931 passed away suddenly at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Monday December 25, 2017. Bob Tanaka beloved husband of Pat Crawford for 35 years. Loving father of Tom Tanaka (Joanna) and Niki Marcov. Dear grandfather of Hanako Tanaka, Jesse and Mackenzie Marcov, Justin Andersen (Jenn) and Lyndi Andersen (Mike). Brother of Richard Tanaka (Kathy) and the late Shigeo Tanaka and Tsuruko Ebata. Brother-in-law of Hanako and Yasoji.  Pre-deceased by his parents Juhei and Miki Tanaka. Bob moved to Toronto where he finished high school and graduated from U of T in Chemical Engineering. After graduating he worked for 40 years at Eldorado / Cameco retiring in 1995 as VP of eastern operations. He enjoyed many years golfing and curling at Dalewood. Bob also loved spending time with his grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope, Saturday December 30, 2017 from 12 noon until time of Memorial Service at 2 pm.
