June 11, 1938 – February 3, 2018. Peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Saturday February 3, 2018 in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Helen Parnell nee; Cole. Loving father of Greg (Katharine) and Tracy (Peter). Loved and devoted Poppy of Katelyn and Justin. Brother of Lois Nichols (the late John), Ruth Andrus (the late Ron) and Jim Parnell (Lorraine). Predeceased by sisters Glenda Harrison and Yvonne Doroz and brothers Leo and Harold. Brother-in-law of Nelda Cole (the late Harold) and Denton and Marjorie Gilmour. Remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial red maple tree has been planted in Gary's memory in Bowmanville Valleys 2000, Commemorative Forest, Phase two.
