Margaret Gill,
You were a strong, feisty and very funny woman. In my early 20's you taught me so much about courage. you had overcome so much in your life and you were so determined to keep on keeping on. Some years later you were so excited to meet my husband and you shook his hand so hard and you said "My God you are black like me, look at that, it is my pleasure to meet you!' I had some of my best times with you on King St. in the Access home. You, Bill, George, and Izzie taught me about the importance of respect for others, dignity, honor, and joy, lots of joy and laughter. You loved your sister and you told your life story so that others could learn, listen and be inspired. Rest Easy Margaret Gertrude Gill. I hope you lived all your years fully and may all the lives you touched know just how blessed they were to have known you. Thirty years later, your smile makes me smile just looking at your picture! I am honored to have known you and to learn about true "ability" from you. Thank you for teaching me.
