Born in Birmingham, England June 18, 1924, passed away at Regency Long Term Care Home, Port Hope on Monday September 17, 2018 in her 95th year. Betty was the beloved wife of the late Edward Burley. Betty worked for many years at the Vanderwindt Market on Highway 28. Loving mother of Yvonne (Peter Vanderwindt) and the late Edward John Burley (survived by Karen). Survived by grandchildren Susan Vanderwindt (Markus Becker), Wendy (Daryl Knott), Jeanette (Rob Naylor) and Michelle (Chris), pre-deceased by great-granddaughter Kortney Matthews (survived by Kevin) also survived by great-grandchildren Amanda, Shawn Jr. (Mekaila), Emily, Rachael, Ashley (Jesse Pimentel), Elizabeth, Alex and great-great-grandchildren Ethan, Sydney, Landon, Paisley Jaxson, Jakob, Myha and Ciera. Sister of Pat Swancott of Windsor and sisters and brother in England. Friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope, Thursday 7-9 pm and Friday from 10 am until time of Funeral Service at 11 am.
