I wanted to let you know that even though I am far away and do not see family very often that when Lynda called me about Jimmy I felt a loss. Every time we got together over the years, Jim always had a smile on his face. I remember when I was little and we went to Black Creek he always made us laugh. So saddened to learn of Jim's passing. I have had the good fortune to be considered a friend for 25 + years. We worked together on many projects my last 10 years in General Motors. He always had a positive influence on me with his methodical, analytical approach to our work. He was a pleasure to work with and in general a fun guy to be around. He had a calming affect on me in times of work frustrations. In recent years Donna & I were fortunate to vacation with Jim & Glenda in Florida. They also traveled to Nova Scotia to spend time with us. A truly great couple.
You will be truly missed my friend. My deepest condolences go out to the loved ones you left behind. You left your mark on every ones heart. Someday we will meet again .... in another life, in a better place!

I am so sorry for your loss. I was saddened to hear of Jims passing. I cycled with Jim, one fond memory I have is in Quebec on the Petit Train Du Nord he was my group leader, I sent him on a merry chase once, I was distracted then I heard there goes Jim so I thought I was going to be left behind, he was going a fair clip too so here I go hustling after him, and then this Jim can racing after me turns out I was chasing the wrong Jim. I met Jim through a bicycle club in the Clarington area. Jim and his wife were avid cycling members and one of my fond memories is Jim riding beside me as a tailgunner as we toured through the Netherlands back in 2011. As the pace was not to fast we had lots of time to talk about a whole range of topics. I feel honoured to have known you Jim.
