Diane is on the far left in this picture, taken in our backyard in Highland Creek when we were children. Our father was best friends with Diane's dad, Russell Sturch and had been since they were children themselves growing up in Toronto and both serving during WW2. Our families (the Withey's and the Sturch's) were very close. Through the years we lost touch and the last I heard from Diane was in 1995 when my father passed away and she telephoned with condolences. I just found out that she had passed when I tried searching for her online. So sorry to hear about this. I wish we'd stayed in touch.
