Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Frank. He will be missed by the community here at Castleton Hills RV Park. Known affectionately as the resident “crusty old man”, he was always quick with a joke and a smile. We will miss his stories of life growing up in the area and the mischief he got into as a boy. He was truly a kind and giving man who lived his life to fullest and travelled the road of adventure.

Dearest Frank,
You were like an apple pie, a little crusty on the outside but very sweet on the inside. You were, at the very least, a very interesting gentleman. You had lots of stories and whether they were true or a little embellished only you knew. I enjoyed our close friendship and you will be missed, my dear friend. R.I.P. and until we meet again memories of you will live in our hearts forever.

I was so saddened to learn of Frank's passing. Frank wintered in Florida, but spent six months each year at the Castleton Hills RV Park where my late wife and I first met him. We were always amazed at how a man in his 80s drove for more than 15 years from Castleton to Florida, and back again. But, he had the vehicle for the job, his home on wheels - a 45' luxury Monaco diesel pusher motor home, and he towed his car behind him. I will never forget Frank, his humour and his friendship toward us whenever we dropped by. His outlook on life was always very philosophical and he was a treat to visit every day. “I take each day as it comes, and enjoy it to the fullest,” he said with a big smile one day. “I never buy green bananas, because I don’t know if I will be alive tomorrow!” Goodbye, Frank. It was a pleasure knowing you and calling you our friend. - Terry Sprague. Picton, Ontario
