Wigmore, Geoffrey Ronald

Born in Deal, Kent, England April 6, 1946, passed away at home with his family by his side on May 27, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. Geoff is survived by his dedicated wife Peggy (nee Ireland); his loving son Garreth and his wife Angela Vaneyk; and his devoted daughter Gillian and her partner Galen Guy. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten by his siblings Sylvia (Jack Treuren); Eric (Pam) and Andrea (Uwe Meyer). Predeceased by brothers Roger and Gerald. He will always be remembered as the “Favorite Uncle” to fourteen nieces and nephews. Geoff was formerly a talented singer and musician and along with his brother Roger entertained for many years throughout the county in their various bands. He realized his love of planes and earned his private pilots license and enjoyed flying small planes and ultra lights. An avid collector of odd and old things, Geoff was an interesting character, will mostly be remembered in the community as owner operator of his business “Geoff Wigmore Auto Body”. Celebration of Life will be held at the Port Hope Lions Recreation Centre, 29 Thomas Street, Port Hope, Saturday June 15, 2019 from 1 to 4 pm. www.allisonfuneralhome.com
