Passed peacefully at home on Thursday May 30, 2019 in his 79th year. Loving husband of Betty and cherished father of David (Lisa), Todd and Mark (Aileen). Treasured grandpa to Kelly (Brennan Glover), Jennifer, Alexandra, Talia, Dylan and Samantha. Survived by his brother of Bob Curtis and pre-deceased by brothers Bill, Jim, Edwin and Albert and his sisters Beatrice Newhouse and Helen Curtis. Long-time employee of Sears Canada. Garry was always the person you wanted to be around – fun with a great sense of humour. For many years he was a teacher, coach and mentor to youth in lacrosse and hockey.  Friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope, Tuesday, June 4 from 6 – 8 pm. Memorial Service will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church, 33 Pine Street North, Port Hope, Wednesday 11 am.
