The McKeen’s were our only neighbours on Hillcrest Rd. when we settled there in 1974. My wife Joanne, and June became fast friends supporting each other in our rural isolation. June babysat our son and was a constant friend and companion over the years. There were many good time and a few tragedies like the night their barn burnt down. June was a warm, strong and resilient woman who’s moral and ethical code for life was an inspiration for all. We have all lost a good friend.
