Obituary of Thelma Beryl Tuttle

Tuttle, Thelma Beryl Passed away peacefully at the age of 93 at the Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Friday, July 26, 2019. Predeceased by her husband, the love of her life, Roy Victor Tuttle. Dearly loved mother of Ron Tuttle (Bonnie) of Port Hope, Joanne Tuttle of Ottawa, Ken Tuttle (Brenda) of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia and Jim Tuttle (Cindie) of Barrie. She was a loving grandmother to Christa Wales (Alan), Ian Tuttle (Linsey), Jenny Greig (Brian Cashaback), Katie Greig (Jeremy Holmes), Angela Sutton (Luke) and Laura Tuttle (Brad Catleugh) and great grandmother to Ben and Ellie Tuttle, Claire and Tristan Wales and Oliver Holmes. Loving sister of Rheta Jones, Carole Williams (late Bill) and her late brother, Bill Servant. She will be missed by many extended family members and friends. Thelma was actively involved in the United Church as a founding member of Wilmar United in Scarborough in the 1950's. In Peterborough Thelma and Roy joined Northminster United Church. In each United Church she attended, Thelma was an active member in the choir and UCW. She was an amateur radio operator under the handle VE3ARG. Thelma spent many happy years camping, at the cottage, square dancing and travelling with Roy. She also enjoyed PROBUS in Peterborough before moving to Rosewood Estates Retirement Home in Cobourg three years ago. Thelma's commitment to Roy and her extended family continued throughout her life. Friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope on Wednesday, July 31 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a funeral service on Thursday, August 1 at 11:00 a.m. at the Allison Funeral Home. A reception will follow the service at the Port Hope Lions Centre, 29 Thomas Street, Port Hope.
