I've known Lucy since I was 12 years old when I worked for her and Mac on the farm. She treated me just like one of her own which included even getting scolded from time to time. Kathy and I agree that her granddaughter Shelley's tribute encompassed a great deal of not only how we saw Lucy but how the community saw her. We enjoyed the years that we spent playing bid euchre with Mac and Lucy. I'd like to share the story about the Bryllo pad and the teapot but you will have to ask me that in person. There are many stories that are worth sharing and great memories to recall. If we (you) dared to walk past her home without dropping in for at least a few minutes you would hear about it if she found out.
We will miss your warm heart Lucy. You were so engaging and kind.
Love Jerry and Kathy

Lucy was a dear friend to my mother. She was valued for her kindness, thoughtfulness and loyalty. Lucy and my mother shared many special memories. It was a pleasure for me to get to know Lucy and have the opportunity to share pleasant conversations over cups of tea. Lucy will be missed. My condolences to all family members.

So saddened to hear of the passing of a wonderful friend.
We have known her and the Frew family for many years. She was always at hand to give us a helping hand / advice or to visit over a meal.
We have adopted her favorite drink of hot water and lemon as a daily afternoon drink and think of her with every sip.
We have had the pleasure of associating with the family from baby sitting times to bragging of grandchildren.
She gave the energizer bunny a run for his money !
Love to all the family
With sympathy Jim & Sharank

So sorry to hear that Lucy passed. Although our friendship slipped to the exchange of Christmas cards each year we still feel we had a close relationship with Lucy and through her, a small connection with the Frew family both Phyllis and I shared growing up.
I will always remember her as the Matriarch of the Frew dynasty back then. Not much got done without her oversight and approval.
Our deepest condolences to Jim, Clyde, Mitch and all of the family at this time. With Covid 19 turning our lives upside down adding this loss is tragic.

Gramma Lucy
She was every ones' go to. She was always positive, and supportive. Gramma had an endless, untiring energy that always uplifted your spirits. She always looked on the bright side of things, and there was never anything a "cuppa tea" couldn't fix.
To all her neighbours and friends, Gramma was there to lend a hand, feed, or just be there to cheer-up the day.
Helping others was Grammas' strength. She had grace, style, and class.
Gramma taught us that Family is everything. Brush your hair, make your bed, stay busy, Cook on High, Point your finger when you mean business. There's always room at the table for more. Keep in touch by giving a "dingle"!
We will hold Gramma in our hearts. Till we meet again.
