Passed away at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Thursday June 3, 2021. Metro beloved husband of the late Doris Rowden and Sharon Buck. Dear father of Gordon Matiyek (Ruth), Margaret (Brian Wice), Marlene Matiyek, Mitchell Matiyek (Brenda), Debbie (Paul Clark), Michael Matiyek (Laurie) and the late Bill Matiyek. Survived by grandchildren Paul Matiyek, Donna Schaefer, William, Jason and Brian Jr. Wice, Nicole and Shane Hamilton, Stephanie Blair, Matthew Matiyek, Bill and John Clark, Brittany, Shawn and Kerri Matiyek. Also survived by his many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Brother of the late Ann, Katherine, Bill, Mary, Sophie and Nettie. Brother-in-law of Forrest Rowden (late Cindy), Jean Riley (late Al) and the late Marie Pierce (survived by Paul Pierce) and the late Lorraine Fox (late Bill Fox). Friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope on Sunday June 13 from 2 to 5 pm. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, those wishing to attend the visitation are required to call and register for a reserved time with the funeral home between 8 am and 4 pm at 905-885-5611.
