Madi was bright young woman, every time we saw each other when walking our dogs (Briggs and Buster) she was cheerful and so kind to us. I've recently found out that she was a classmate of our only son, he was deeply moved by her passing. Madison will always be remember for her kind heart and lovely smile. R.I.P Madi.

While I did not know her well, I was gifted with meeting her a few times at the Chard house, Carole's House and during a street parade in Port Hope. My heart so goes out to Madi’s parents…. And all her family and friends…. I’ll try my best to write this as grieving tears flow for her close family….This has touched my heart so deeply…. so very deeply…. I didn’t know Madi personally…. I prayed for her when I learned she was missing….I shared her info and kept praying for her….. Hopeful she would be soon safely found……. My heart so goes out to her Dad…..I’m not sure what it’s like to have a Dad ……it sure was so easy to feel his genuine love for his daughter through his words ….And getting to feel the love he has for Madi was so incredible for me……I’m praying for healing for everyone who knew Madi…It’s good to read the notes from those who knew Madi personally ….. please keep the stories and memories of Madi coming in …. Our lives are so precious …. God is super close to the brokenhearted …. His love for everyone of us never quits.

Madi had the most beautiful smile and a contagious laugh, you just couldn’t help but be drawn to her excitement of life. I had the pleasure of seeing her every few months as her dental hygienist, and genuinely looked forward to the chats and laughter. Her love of music was always evident with her headphones and extensive playlists. Deepest condolences to Mark and Family. When I think of Madi, I think of her laughing (and perhaps snorting). How we’d celebrate, and laugh, every time one of us tried to throw something in the bin and missed. “Artsy!” I think of her acting and singing and dancing. I think of how this amazing person had the capacity to light up a room, just by being present. I am so grateful to have known her.

We met Madison right after we moved to Cobourg in 2002. She was only 9 years old at the time and was already performing on the stage. Through our extended family of the Northumberland Players we watched Madi grow up and shine her light on everyone she met. She gave the best hugs. Her smile could be seen from space. She was a fierce friend. She is remembered. She is missed. She is loved.

Madison and I shared a common interest in Alice in Wonderland, the meanings and stories and what not. She would break down things to it’s truest form, very articulate. Always had a smile or a sharp comeback that would leave you laughing. I stopped by one day and she gave me a painting of the Cheshire cat she painted. She told me that was my character lol
