We are sad to share the news that our beloved mother, Carole Ann Burke nee; Inch has passed away at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Tuesday October 4, 2022. Carole beloved wife of the late William Thomas ‘Tom’ Burke. Loving mother of Denise (Russell Hogg), Penny Young (Dan Fingler) and Joyce (John Vanderwerf). Survived by grandchildren Stephanie Hogg, Ryan Hogg (Samantha), Ken Young, Karli Young, Krag Vanderwerf (Casandra), Blake Vanderwerf (Nicole) and great-grandchildren Byron, Anna, Mia and Leo Vanderwerf. Sister of Irene (late Bill Leonhardt) and the late Ruth survived by brother-in-law Douglas Workman. She left this earth, and with heavy hearts we will be holding a private family graveside service at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Hope. If desired, memorial contributions may be made by cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society. Splendor in the Grass – ‘What though the radiance which was once so bright.
