I had the great pleasure of jamming, recording, and hanging out with Shaun throughout our high school days. I have many great memories with Shaun together with Taylor, and Ty - mainly in our respective parents' basements or living rooms playing at borderline criminal sound levels. He was a talented musician and a genuinely funny, kindhearted human being. I'll always remember him that way. Rest in peace, Shaun.

Shaun, It’s really hard for me to accept that you’re gone. You were the most talented musician I’ve ever known and I always believed that the world was robbed of your music for every second it was hidden on our computers. No one could write the way you could, you were leagues beyond the abilities of many in the world who have “made it” in the music industry. You were one of my best friends for many years and you were the only person that it ever made sense to jam with. You taught me so much of what I know on guitar with regards to both playing and writing and I’m proud that a part of your music will live on through me in the way I play and write. I owe so much of who I am to you. I don’t know what my life would look like today had you not started working at McDonalds when you did back when we were in high school. I’m really glad you talked me into getting those tattoos together when were underage. I love you brother.

We have been lucky and privileged to know this talented young man. Shaun spent many weekends over the years at out house with my son Taylor and the band doing what they loved to do, play music. Even in the most resent years, Shaun and Taylor were recording, Shaun writing the music and playing all the instruments with Taylor singing. He will be greatly missed and, in our thoughts, always. Our hearts go out to his family and to his partner. Sharon, Dave & Hilary Welsh.
