Noseworthy, Stephen John “Steve”

Passed away peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Saturday July 22, 2023, surrounded by family. Steve, beloved husband of Martha “June” Noseworthy, dear father of Brenda (Bob) Roy, Krista (Bruce) Anderson, Steven (Laurie), and Sandra (Gord) McKenzie-Crowe. Beloved Poppy to 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Survived by siblings Maxwell (Linda), Sophie (Joe) Newman, Albert, Linda (Marcus) Maloney, Wayne, Randy (Mary), Nada (Steve) Sooley and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Sophie (Hunt) Noseworthy, stepmother Lucy Noseworthy, daughter Brenda Roy, siblings Elizabeth (Edward) Chassion, Ellen (Larry) Smith, Edwin, sister-in-law Margaret Noseworthy, and Louise (Sylvister) Staples. Steve was born in Brookfield Newfoundland on December 26, 1934. He moved to Corner Brook Newfoundland in his teens where he met his wife June. They started their family in Corner Brook before moving to Ontario. Steve was a journeyman electrician and spent most of his career in Ontario, with some time in Alberta. Once retiring, Steve and June travelled the country visiting family and the local golf courses. They settled in Calgary, Alberta for a few years until Steve learnt he could golf year round in Chilliwack British Columbia. In 2018, Steve and June moved back to Ontario to Port Hope. Friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope, Thursday July 27, 2023 from noon until time of Memorial Service at 1 pm. Entombment in the columbarium at Port Hope Union Cemetery.
