Stapleton, Eileen Doris

It is with great sadness that the family of Eileen Doris Stapleton (nee Todd) announces her peaceful passing at Extendicare Port Hope on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 in her 99th year. She experienced a stroke in September 2015 which changed her life but she bravely faced these new challenges until the end. Dearly beloved wife and best friend for 55+ years of the late Donald Stapleton (deceased 2000). Loving mother of Barbara Donnelly and her husband Bruce of Port Hope; Gary Stapleton and his wife Janice of Ancaster; Neil Stapleton and his wife Karen of Etobicoke; and Lois Morton and her husband Gordon (deceased) of Kendal. Dear grandmother of 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Sister of Carl Todd (Margaret) both deceased. Dear childhood friend and sister in-law to Phylis Stapleton and her husband Bert (both deceased) and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to all the staff and doctors at Extendicare Port Hope for their outstanding contribution towards her care and friendship for our mother during her home away from home.
