Thirty-six years ago, the Port Hope side of the Newington family welcomed me as Percy’s new partner. We spent many weekends over the years with Don and Ruth in their family home, visiting their children, walks along Lake Ontario, and sitting in the garden: playing darts (between the two brothers, a very competitive game ): ), and playing all sorts of games. Don and Percy would chat away solving the world’s problems as if they were in charge. I will cherish many memories of Don and time spent with him. My condolences to Ruth, and her family, at this most difficult time. Love Joan

my name is Quinn Newington and I loved my grandfather or as I called hime poppy very much.He was always very supportive of me and I loved going down to his workshop in granny and poopies house to watch him woodcraft. When he died is was really hard for me because I was really close to him. when I found out I was crying for a long time. at his funeral me and my dad brought a lot of tissue to wipe out tears. I will miss my poppy very much and thank you to everyone sharing their condolences.
