Joyce was a wonderful lady I met every Tuesday for chit chat and security check with community care. Never lost for words and such a positive person. We talked of everything under the sun and solved all the world problems hee hee. I will dearly miss our talks. It was nice to see her photo and she is also a beautiful lady. On January 30 th, Joyce said to me, “ Alice, I’m tired of living and I’ve had a good life”. It was a strange feeling I had, but we joked about it a while and she was laughing again. I will never forget my Phone friend and pray for her peace. Condolences to the family, she loved you so much, I know.
Sincerely Alice Roy

I spoke with you Mom pretty well every Wednesday as part of the wellness check through community care. We had many great conversations and laughs during these times. I am saddened and shocked to hear of her passing as I spoke with her just last Wednesday. My heartfelt thoughts are with your family.

Joyce and I met when we both moved to Rivers Edge. “Originals” as we called ourselves.
She was such a gracious lady. Three of us used to visit Joyce her last years for Tims and a muffin.
She told us lots of stories of old Port Hope. She was so witty and we laughed the afternoons away.
I loved her Company and will miss our chats. My condolences to her family..she was so proud of her grandson,

We will always remember Aunt Joyce and the fun our families had as friends and neighbours for so many years. Always so kind, Aunt Joyce recently checked in to see how we were. Enjoyed our chats and Christmas card exchanges. The Perry family will absolutely miss her! Condolences from Janice, Greg, Rhonda and families.
