It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ken Weaver, a beloved member of the PortHope community. God called Ken peacefully on May 6, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family.His legacy will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.Ken was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Kaaren. Their enduring love was a beacon of strength and companionship. Together, they weathered life's storms, sharing laughter, tears, andcountless cherished moments. Ken's unwavering commitment to Kaaren was a testament to the power of love. As a father, Ken took immense pride in his role. His children—Dan (Jennifer), Colleen, Brenda (Domenic), and Christine. He guided them with wisdom, instilling values of kindness, resilience, andcompassion. Ken's legacy lives on through the remarkable individuals his children have become. A Caring Grandfather and Great Grandfather Ken's heart expanded even further as he welcomed grandchildren into his life. Adam, Amanda, Shaun, Seth, Carter, and Taylor and great grandchild,Westley was the joy of his later years.

Their laughter echoed through his home, filling it with warmth and memories. Ken reveled in their achievements, celebrated their milestones, and offered unwavering support. His eyes sparkled with pride as he held the little ones, knowing that love transcends generations

.He will be held dear in the hearts of Jane and George Waller, dear friends who felt like family, stood by his side through life's joys and sorrows. Together, they shared laughter, lent shoulders duringtough times, and found support and comfort in their daily visits. For 22 years, Ken forged deep connections with many of his neighbors, along with members of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, all of whom quickly became dear friends that he could count on.Their kindness and generosity touched him dearly and leave an indelible mark.As we bid farewell, we celebrate the legacy he leaves behind. Let us remember him not with tears,but with gratitude for the moments, we shared. May his spirit continue to inspire us to be kind, tocherish our loved ones, and to build meaningful connections.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Northumberland Hills Hospital Palliative Care Unit, https://nhhfoundation.ca/ a donor for many years to the community hospital, this was a cause close to Ken's heart.

Rest in peace, dear Ken. Your memory will forever be etched in our hearts. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ken's remarkable life. A memorial visitation will be held Thursday May 9th, from 2 to 4pm at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope.
